South Coast across the Great Australian Bight

Traversing Australia’s South Coast across the Great Australian Bight reveals a pleroma of superlative vistas which are as diverse as they are arresting.  From the powder soft beaches of Esperance and Cape Le Grand N.P. in Western Australia, to the dramatic coastal delights of Kangaroo Island in South Australia, and further east to one of Australia’s most renowned attractions – the Great Ocean Road in the state of Victoria, this Destination takes us to and through a wonderland of panoramas which never seem to end.  The remote yet stunning Fitzgerald River N.P. offers the viewer stark, spectacular solitude, where your only company may a whalebone or two washed ashore.  Esperance may be a well-kept secret, but its talcum soft untrammeled sands and dazzling blue bays can prove really addictive really fast.  Just a short drive east leads to more outstanding beaches where if it’s your lucky day, a ‘roo may stay to say G’day at Lucky Bay in Cape Le Grand N.P.

Kangaroo Island is just full to the brim with more visual delights, dramatic coastlines, and the star attraction of the Remarkable Rocks.  Finally, making our way along the Great Ocean Road we come upon impossibly shaped limestone and sandstone rock stacks rising from the Southern Ocean – including the famous Twelve Apostles, while passing by photogenic lighthouses and sublime seaside towns like Lorne, Anglesea and Apollo Bay.
