The Hartz Mountains provide a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the capital Hobart, just a little more than an hour’s drive away and offers secluded walking trails that from which lovely views and breathtaking waterfalls can be enjoyed.  This Composition also showcases the Port Arthur convict site, one of eleven collectively inscribed as the Australian Convict Sites listing on the World Heritage register.  On the other side of the Tasman peninsula, the dramatic cliffs and rock formations of Tasman National Park create stunning spectacles seen either from land or sea.  It’s an otherworldly scene… sheer cliffs rise straight up out of the Tasman Sea and towering sea stacks reach for the sky.  Further south, Bruny island which is reached by a quick ferry ride from Kettering on the Tasmanian mainland, is adored for its many long sweeping beaches.
