A border state of mind — from Brisbane to Byron … Artwork Inspiration

A sweeping view of Brisbane’s Central Business District opens up across the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point.  A colorful but somnolent lizzie appears to contemplate the meaning of existence while basks in the Queensland sun on the grounds of the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, while the Mirror Ball, a public art installation reflects contrastingly on South Bank.   This Composition also features Q1 Tower, a Gold Coast icon reaching for the sky over Surfers Paradise beach, while to its south the aesthetic contours of the brilliant white Cape Byron lighthouse looking out over the Pacific from its clifftop perch.  Sitting just across from Brisbane on the east side of Moreton Bay lies Moreton Island, a large sand island most of which is protected as National Park.   Tangalooma Beach is a picturesque spot to while away a sunny afternoon – just take your cue from the Australian pelicans doing pretty much the same.
