This Destination encompasses the Northern Territory’s instantly recognizable landmarks of Uluṟu (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuṯa (The Olgas), and Watarrka N.P., in Australia’s Red Center which is an otherworldly region of dramatic desert landscapes, sheer canyon walls, and sandstone monoliths.  This Destination also includes the remote yet impossibly photogenic Purnululu N.P. in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Purnululu N.P. has no parallel, equivalent, or comparable experience on Earth.  Simply put – it is just like no other.  This is where there striated beehive domes of the Bungle Bungle Range rise majestically in bands of grey, black and fire orange over the bright yellow spinifex and the endless red of the Australian desert.  Outside the wet season when the river beds run dry, one can walk right up to these mind-altering landforms and gaze in awe at panoramas you would be forgiven to think were transported here from another planet.    Further south in the heart of the Red Center lie the icons of central Australia – the awe-inspiring monolith of Uluṟu (Ayers Rock), and the domes of Kata Tjuṯa (The Olgas).  Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park is inscribed on the World Heritage register in recognition of both its outstanding natural features and also its significance to Australian indigenous culture.   Just a few hours drive north of Uluṟu brings us to the gravity-defying Kings Canyon and the rounded domes of Watarrka N.P. which have been weathered over æons by wind and rain.
